Two join the cast of The House at the End of the Street

Another week, another teen-centric horror flick goes from ‘concept’ to ‘in the works.’ According to THR, director Mark Tonderai and screenwriter David Loucka are moving forward with THE HOUSE AT THE END OF THE STREET, and today they’ve cast their two main leads for the film!

Hottie Jennifer Lawrence (pictured) and this dude named Max Thieriot are the two lucky f*cks who scored the leading roles in HOUSE, and if anything else, you know those two are stoked right now. Good for them. Now what the shiznit is HOUSE AT THE END OF THE STREET all about, anyway? Check it:

[The film] centers on a teen girl (Lawrence) who moves with her mom to a new town and learns that their home is across the street
from a house where a double murder took place. Complications ensue when the teen befriends the massacre’s sole surviving son (Thieriot).

The pitch meeting basically went a little something like this: “Yo, that movie THE BURBS was successful and so was DISTURBIA, and the title of LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT has always had a nice ring to it. Since we can’t be THAT original, let’s just combine the three films together and make a movie! Also, who’s coming over for the circle-jerk later? Loser has to eat the french roll!”

Yeah, I’m pretty sure that was verbatim. Filming starts next month in Ottawa, so stick around leading up until then as more and more cast members are announced. Yay….
