Two more join John Cusak in the Edgar Allan Poe serial killer flick The Raven

Do you guys remember back in August, when we learned that John Cusak would be stepping in to star as ‘Edgar Allan Poe’ in James McTeigue’s THE RAVEN? Of course you do! It’s John freaking Cusak! Now chances are you were stoked about that announcement, right? Right. Well if that is indeed the case then you should be even more excited about who’s joining Mr. Cusak on this adventure!

According to the guys over at The Hollywood Reporter both Luke Evans and Alice Eve are in talks to star alongside Cusak in the feature. Evans (right) would star as a detective teaming with ‘Poe’ while Eve (below) is set to star as ‘Poe’s’ fiancee. Scope out the rundown:

Taking place in 1849 Baltimore, THE RAVEN follows Edgar Allan Poe as he searches for a serial killer who has kidnapped his fiancee and has gone on a murder spree that mimics the author’s work.

Pretty intriguing right? I don’t know about the rest of you but if they’re going to toss Edgar Allan Poe, John Cusak and Alice Eve in a blender I’ll damn sure be ready to drink whatever comes out! Mind you these two names aren’t officially a part of the cast just yet but I would say it’s a safe bet to assume they will be.

Filming on THE RAVEN is set to kick off October 25th with plans to film in both Budapest and Serbia. As always as soon as we hear more on the project we’ll be sure to pass the good word along to all of you!
