Two new featurettes for X-Men: Days of Future Past; plus more X-men cameos

Last night we were treated to the final trailer for X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST which pretty much sealed the deal for a lot of people that had initial doubts about the latest entry in the X-franchise. Today, we have two new featurettes for the film, which delve into the production, specifically with a scene involving the re-acquisition of Magneto's signature helmet and a massive '70's sequence in an airport that required a large amount of prep and detail. The scene of Magneto (Michael Fassbender) retrieving his helmet was not originally in the script, but something director Bryan Singer came up with on the set and it's interesting to watch them make the scene happen regardless of it never being planned.

MILD SPOILER WARNING:

The buzz is increasing by the day for X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST and it seems like there's good reason for it as the film looks like a blast. Vulture is also reporting that Anna Paquin's Rogue would "remain in the film, if only as a cameo" and that  "three more mutants filmed secret cameos in the film. To even hint at their identities, though, would reveal a major spoiler." Who could those three mutants be? Let the speculation run wild, but my guess is they'll go for something big that will leave fans salivating for more. Singer has been vocal about wanting Gambit and a young Nightcrawler for the next sequel, X-MEN: APOCALYPSE, but it's anyone's guess as to which way he'll go for the end of this one. Who do you think they could be?

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST opens on May 23, 2014.
