Two new Thanatomorphose stills tease nudity and decomposition

Sex and death is a combination the horror genre has tackled before, but THANATOMORPHOSE, the upcoming debut feature from director Éric Falardeau might just push the envelope. It’s been almost a year since we showed you the teaser to this independently produced “dark tale of sex and gore” and to celebrate the anniversary, we’ve just scored two new stills from the flick. Admittedly, they’re not particularly revealing, but hopefully that just means the filmmakers are saving the best for last, i.e. when the  movie is actually released. Check out the stills, as well as a promo artwork above and below.

Thanatomorphose is a French word meaning the visible signs of an organism’s decomposition caused by death. The synopsis goes as follow: One day, a young and beautiful girl a wakes up and finds her flesh rotting…

THANATOMORPHOSE stars Kayden Rose (below), Davyd Tousignant, Émile Beaudry, Karine Picard, Roch-Denis Gagnon, Éryka L. Cantieri, Pat Lemaire and Simon Laperrière.

The film is currently in post-production and is planned for festival screenings during fall 2012/winter 2013. If you’re intrigued by the premise and want to check the movie out, you can actually help fund its making by preordering the DVD on the film’s official site. That is, of course, if you don’t mind waiting a bit. And by ‘a bit’ I mean ‘probably at least a year’.
