their debuts over the weekend, including THE
NUMBER 23, an interesting departure for Jim Carrey, and HAIRSPRAY,
an “interesting” departure for John Travolta. Ain’t much
going on in either site right now, but I guess this might interest
bookmarkers or something. Oh, HAIRSPRAY does have a BLOG

The psychological thriller
THE NUMBER 23 stars Jim Carrey as a man whose life unravels after he comes into contact with an obscure book titled The Number 23. As he reads the book, he becomes increasingly convinced that it is based on his own life. His obsession with the number 23 starts to consume him, and he begins to realize the book forecasts far graver consequences for his life than he could have ever imagined.
HAIRSPRAY
is originally based on the 1988 John Waters comedy about star-struck
teenagers on a local Baltimore dance show. The new version of the
film will be based on New Line’s hit Broadway adaptation of the
film, which debuted in 2002, and went on to win eight Tony Awards.
John Travolta will play Edna Turnblad and Queen Latifah will play
Motormouth Maybelle in the film.
