UK DVD relase of The Graves has new cover art and a gang of special features

While THE GRAVES has come and gone from theaters as part of After Dark’s Horrorfest 4, it’s still awaiting it’s epic release on DVD. In North America, we’ll be seeing his biotch on March 23rd (PRE-ORDER IT HERE), but in the UK the wait is a bit longer, aiming for a late spring release of May 31st.

We have the new UK DVD cover for THE GRAVES for you to oogle at, and what you may notice here is…. how awful and somewhat boring this thing is. Tony Todd’s floating head? Really? Actually, take out the four floating heads in the background, and this cover goes from lame to decent… just like that!

But at least the release has a ton of features to make up for the lame cover. Check ’em out:

  • Introduction to the Feature by Director Brian Pulido
  • Audio Commentary by Brian Pulido and Cinematographer Adam Goldfine
  • Behind the Scenes Interviews
  • Tattoos Video
  • Spot the Gnome
  • Tour of Vulture City
  • VCM News Piece
  • LD Comic
  • Mischief Night Comic
  • Making Fun of a Bad Special Effects
  • Clare Grant: Faces and Botched Takes
  • Bloopers
  • Photo Gallery
  • Marketing Materials Gallery
  • The ‘Making Fun of Bad Special Effects’ feature has me the most intrigued. Are the films effects so bad that even the filmmakers know it–and are trying to regain ownership by stepping back and making fun of it? If that’s the case… then that’s awesome.

Enjoy the new cover art below, and get ready for THE GRAVES on DVD in the UK on May 31, 2010.
