Undertakers vs. undead

There’s a new zombie-butt-kicker coming our way and although it is still in the earliest of stages, the idea sounds pretty fun. It’s called THE UNDERTAKERS: ROAD’S END and it appears to be sporting a crazy, action-fueled, comic book-esque vibe. Have a look at its basic plot synopsis:

There are certain places throughout the world that possess supernatural properties. Places where paranormal experiences or other unexplained phenomena are believed to occur. Among them is the back road town of Road’s End, which features one of the countries oldest and most guarded cemeteries.

Charged with protecting the secrets of Road’s End Cemetery is a private organization referred to as “The Undertakers”. For centuries this organization has covertly protected the population of the world from the jaws of flesh eating Zombies.

Up until today this has been a successful operation. But when the agent stationed at Road’s End Cemetery goes down, the fate of the world is left in the hands of two social misfits who must risk everything to keep the cemetery contained.

Pretty simple, but very loaded with potential. I do like the artwork for the flick up top. Bear in mind that this is a live-action movie and not a comic. It’s being directed by Kiven Head and will be starring J. Larose (SAW III & IV), Richard Hatch (not the dork from SURVIVOR), and Edwin Neal, who was just added. You may remember Neal as the nutso hitchhiker in the original TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE. For more info on THE UNDERTAKERS, you can check out its official website here.
