Pierce Brosnan (The Out-LawsMrs. Doubtfire), Samuel L. Jackson (The Long Kiss GoodnightBlack Snake Moan), and Brandon Lessard (Murder at Yellowstone City) are saddling up for Richard Gray’s Unholy Trinity, an upcoming Western revenge feature currently filming in Montana under a SAG-AFTRA Interim Agreement.

According to Deadline‘s exclusive report, Unholy Trinity delves into dark secrets, buried treasure, and bloody murder. Deadline says, “the film is set against the turbulent backdrop of 1870s Montana. It picks up in the moments before the execution of Isaac Broadway, as he gives his estranged son, Henry (Lessard), an impossible task: murder the man who framed him for a crime he didn’t commit. Intent on fulfilling his promise, Henry travels to the remote town of Trinity, where an unexpected turn of events traps him in town and leaves him caught between Gabriel Dove (Brosnan), the town’s upstanding new sheriff, and a mysterious figure named St. Christopher (Jackson).”

Gray directs Unholy Trinity from a script by Lee Zachariah. Speaking to Deadline, Gray expressed his enthusiasm about helming the new film, saying, “Thrilled doesn’t even begin to describe how we feel about collaborating with such exceptional talent on Unholy Trinity. It’s a captivating story, and we feel fortunate to be able to make an epic Western during the strike, working alongside SAG every step of the way. Paradise Valley, Montana, is a spectacular location and the ideal backdrop for this special story.”

Past movies from Richard Gray include the biographical epic Robert the Bruce, the 2022 crime drama Murder at Yellowstone City, and more. Meanwhile, Brosnan stars alongside Morena Baccarin and James Caan in Fast Charlie, an action film about a fixer, Charlie Swift, whose latest target is missing their head. Charlie won’t get paid if he can’t identify the body. Let the shenanigans begin! Meanwhile, Samuel L. Jackson reprises his role as Nick Fury in Marvel Studios’ The Marvels, starring Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, and Iman Vellani. The superhero sequel lands in theaters on November 10, 2023. Finally, Lessard’s latest film includes a role in Gray’s Murder at Yellowstone City.
