This is actually the first time I’ve heard of THIRST, so check this out: The film is about a priest who participates in a medical experiment to find a cure for a deadly disease with traumatic repercussions.
I’m thinking this deadly disease is being a vampire, but I can’t really tell from that description as it’s quite vague. The flick stars SYMPATHY OF LADY VENGEANCE alumni’s Song Kang-ho and Shin Ha-kyun, as well as Kim Ok-bi in the leading role.
So what does this mean? Well, filming will be able to complete, and better yet, the flick will likely see the light of day in North American theaters–not just on DVD. Hell ya.
The plan is for a mid-2009 release with hopes to hit the festival circuits first before it’s wider release. I smell Cannes people!
