Upcoming Lucifer episode will be a full-blown musical?

It looks like the 10th episode  of the upcoming 5th season of LUCIFER will be a full-blown musical episode called "Bloody Celestial Karaoke Jam." Showrunners Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson have always wanted to do a musical episode but were waiting until they came up with the right story.

Modrovich says:

We wanted to have a real grounded story reason why they’re singing and dancing, and not just, ‘Oh, this is going to be the one where everybody sings and dance. It’s been a little game of Tetris [planning the episode] but it’s super fun. It’s going to be amazing. It’s going to be just such a bucket list thing for me.

Neil Gaiman's Sandman comics inspired the television series, which follows:

Lucifer, the original fallen angel, who becomes dissatisfied with his life in hell. After abandoning his throne and retiring to Los Angeles, Lucifer indulges in his favorite things (women, wine and song) — until a murder takes place outside of his upscale nightclub. For the first time in billions of years, the murder awakens something unfamiliar in Lucifer's soul that is eerily similar to compassion and sympathy. Lucifer is faced with another surprise when he meets an intriguing homicide detective named Chloe, who appears to possess an inherent goodness — unlike the worst of humanity, to which he is accustomed. Suddenly, Lucifer starts to wonder if there is hope for his soul.

Dennis Haysbert has signed on to play God in the new season alongside Tom Ellis, D.B. Woodside, and Lauren German. LUCIFER's sixteen-episode final season hits Netflix sometime later this year. Are you excited? Let us know below!
