Digital Release
The suspense thriller Verity has been given its short theatrical window and has already made its digital-on-demand debut just a couple of days ago. The film was produced by Amazon/MGM, so will likely be making its debut on Amazon Prime shortly, but for now you have to rent it if you want to see it.
4K Blu-ray – exclusive to Amazon
Unlike many of Amazon’s movies, Verity will be getting a physical media release – but if you want it in 4K it wil be exclusive to Amazon (the Blu-ray will be available everywhere). You can order it HERE! The street date is December 15th.
The description reads, “Based on Colleen Hoover’s New York Times bestselling novel of the same name, screenwriter Nick Antosca adapted Verity for the screen, and it was brought to life by director Michael Showalter.
In Verity, Lowen Ashleigh, a struggling writer, relocates to the remote estate of renowned author Verity Crawford to ghostwrite her next novel. When she uncovers what appears to be Verity’s chilling autobiographical notes, Lowen wrestles with disturbing confessions about Verity’s husband Jeremy, and finds it hard to separate fiction from reality, manipulation from attraction, and opportunity from obsession.
Audiences were seduced by the twisty adaptation upon release in early October with critics and fans alike praising Anne Hathaway’s standout performance as the manipulative and unforgettable Verity. Verity has grossed over $145 million at the worldwide box office.
Verity was directed by Michael Showalter with a screenplay by Nick Antosca, and based on the novel by Colleen Hoover.”
