Before you get too excited I should tell you all I’m not here to tell you about a killer Guinea Pig flick. I know, you’re disappointed. I tried to warn you with that ‘drug’ bit in the title but I can understand if you were still hoping this had something to do with those cuddly little creatures. Unfortunately, it doesn’t.
What GUINEA PIGS does involve is a bunch of people getting more than they bargained for in a seemingly harmless drug test. According to Screen Daily, Vertigo Films and the National Film and Television School are moving forward with the indie horror flick GUINEA PIGS. Scope out the synopsis:
The micro-budget film is an atmospheric horror about volunteers fighting for their lives after a drug trial goes wrong.
Simple enough. Aneurin Barnard, Alex Reid, Amit Shah and Steve Evets all star in the film with Ian Clark writing and directing. Megan Stuart and Mat Wakeham will produce. GUINEA PIGS started filming today with the plan being to eventually release this shite in the US and UK sometime in 2011.
So what do you guys think? GUINEA PIGS have some potential or should we just bypass this one from the get-go? Hit us with your thoughts below and keep it here for more on the film as we hear it!
