von Trier the Antichrist

Variety is reporting (and confirming earlier whisperings) that Lars von Trier is set and scheduled to film ANTICHRIST in Germany this summer. I could only guess what the flick is gonna be about with an ambiguous title like ANTICHRIST, so here’s the brief synopsis :

A couple retreats to a cabin in the woods to recover from the death of their child. Sounds scary, no? von Trier has been quoted (check it out HERE) in saying that it’s a ‘psychological thriller’ that later manifests itself into a ‘horror’ film. I guess we shall see about that.

Written by von Trier and Anders Thomas Jensen, ANTICHRIST could be the ultimate in f*cked up German films, so let’s keep our fingers crossed that it lives up to von Trier’s unique style of filmmaking.
