DVDActive comes in today with former ‘Buffy The Vampire Slayer’ star in Charisma Carpenter and Kevin VanHook’s VOODOO MOON. Also starring Eric Mabius (THE CROW: SALVATION), Dee Wallace (BOO and Jeffrey ‘RE-ANIMATOR‘ Combs, VOODOO MOON will be possessing shelves courtesy of Anchor Bay Entertainment the 3rd of October.
The story concerns a demonic massacre in a sleepy Southern town twenty years ago that left two young siblings as the lone survivors. But for Cole (Eric Mabius) and his younger sister Heather (Charisma Carpenter), an obsession with their parents’ satanic slaughter has lasted a lifetime. Now through Cole’s psychic connection with a group that includes an outlaw biker (John Amos, ‘The West Wing’, DIE HARD 2: DIE HARDER), a traumatized cop (Jeffrey Combs) and a mysterious healer (Dee Wallace), vengeance is about to take a very unholy turn. Tonight they will all be brought together in a place where depraved secrets are exposed, legions of the damned are unleashed, and the final battle between Good and Evil will be fought beneath the VOODOO MOON.
Specs for the DVD aren’t forthcoming yet, though in a twist, the extras are available. Extras include the making-of doc ‘You Reap What You Sew’, ‘Black Magic: The Stunts, Makeup and Visual Effects of VOODOO MOON’ featurette, deleted scenes, a poster and photo gallery and trailer.
