Variety reports that scripters Dan Dworkin and Jay Beattie, who most recently put in small screen work for NBC‘s SURFACE, have sold their spec WAKETIME to Infinity Media. Based in Vancouver, IM was the film financier behind CAPOTE.
The concept sounds interesting, although it’s pretty non-specific at this point: “Waketime” centers on a young insomniac who believes he’s the latest victim of a generations-old curse that will eventually kill him and everyone he loves.
