Want an autographed My Soul to Take Poster? Win Wes Craven’s Twitter contest!

The septuagenarian Wes Craven has taken to Twitter like a cokehead to hookers…and it looks like he’s got a fun lil’ contest for us all to party with!

In lieu of MY SOUL TO TAKE being released next month, it seems Wes has released the first official photo from the flick (via a Yahoo! screen-cap, as clearly seen above). Peep the challenge he’s offering…

Directly from Craven’s Twitter feed:

“In MY SOUL TO TAKE, the lead character’s nickname is Bug, played by Max Thieriot. There is also a bird motif throughout the film. In keeping with these two themes, I’ve decided to do a Bugs and Birds Twitter Contest.

I will post various photos of Bugs and Birds to my flickr page and link those to my twitter account. All the bugs were taken on location of MY SOUL TO TAKE or SCREAM 4. If you are the first to correctly identify the bug or bird, you will win an autographed MY SOUL TO TAKE poster. You must include #MySoultoTake and @wescraven in your answer via twitter. It’s that simple. There will be at least 10 chances to win.”

Boy oh boy, I hope Craven and company up the ante next go around. Even if you aren’t an aviary expert, when saving the image of the bird from Craven’s account, an awfully big spoiler is given. Or is it…

Slashing theaters October 8th – MY SOUL TO TAKE is set:

In the sleepy town of Riverton, where legend tells of a serial killer who swore he would return to murder the seven children born the night he died. Now, 16 years later, people are disappearing again. Has the psychopath been reincarnated as one of the seven teens, or did he survive the night he was left for dead? Only one of the kids knows the answer.

Adam “Bug” Heller was supposed to die on the bloody night his father went insane. Unaware of his dad’s terrifying crimes, he has been plagued by nightmares since he was a baby. But if Bug hopes to save his friends from the monster that’s returned, he must face an evil that won’t rest…until it finishes the job it began the day he was born.
