Warner Bros. enlists Wonder Woman screenwriter Jason Fuchs to pen Lobo

Much like DEADPOOL, a film centering around everyone's favourite interstellar mercenary has been in the works for some time. A little under a year ago Brad Peyton, who was hired to write and direct LOBO, said that although the project had a finished screenplay, the film had been put on the backburner at Warner Bros. According to The Wrap, LOBO now seems to be back on Warner Bros.' mind as they have enlisted Jason Fuchs (WONDER WOMAN) to take a stab at the LOBO script.

Previous drafts of the LOBO screenplay were scripted by Don Payne (THOR) and Brad Peyton (SAN ANDREAS), but The Wrap's insiders say that Jason Fuchs will be starting from scratch with his own take on the character. He possesses extraordinary strength and an accelerated healing factor among other abilities, and once he takes on a contract, nothing will stop him from finishing it. Now that DEADPOOL has shown studios that audiences are game for something different and a little harder, I'd imagine that development on LOBO will get a move on.

Many different actors have had their name attached to the role, be it officially or unofficially, including Dwayne Johnson, Jason Momoa, and Gerard Butler. Now that the project is once again moving forward, who would you like to see take on the role of Lobo?
