So who's shocked a sequel to Gareth Edwards' GODZILLA is already in the works? Deadline has learned Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures are developing a sequel to their hit movie. GODZILLA's opening weekend numbers were very impressive, and really it was only a matter of time before a sequel was announced.

Although Gareth Edwards has talked about what he'd like to do with a GODZILLA sequel and I'm guessing he will return, it's not clear if the director will definitely be back to helm the next movie. If he does, expect the sequel to have the same slow reveal as the first movie.

Are you ready for more kaiju action, and what would you like to see in the sequel, besides more interesting human characters? Do you want Gareth Edwards to return for the next GODZILLA flick, or do you think a different director should be behind the camera? Sound off below!
