Yo SAMARITAN! Have you heard about Sylvester Stallone's upcoming old-guy-action-movie? It sounds like another perfect vehicle for Sly and if this fresh pic from the set (shared by Stallone himself on Instagram) is any indication, we should be in for one hell of a good time! First peep the pic prior to me posting the plot:
I can always watch Sly take on a bunch of bad guys! SAMARITAN is giving me some major UNBREAKABLE type vibes from its plot: Based on an original idea, SAMARITAN centers on young boy who is out to discover if a mythic superhero, who vanished 20 years earlier following a tragic event, is still alive. Screenwriter Bragi F. Schut (ESCAPE ROOM) will pen the script for director, Julius Avery, which has Stallone and Balboa Productions partner Braden Aftergood producing as the first project of their newly-formed studio.
In addition to Sly, the film also stars Natacha Karam, Martin Starr, and Moises Arias. Although like every other studio film, SAMARITAN is on shooting hiatus, however it still has a December 11, 2020 release date.
