The flick is called CHEMICAL WEDDING, with Julian Doyle in the director’s chair, and it goes a little something like this: [WEDDING] centers on a reincarnation of Aleister Crowley, once dubbed “the most evil man in Britain”, a major Edwardian figure and a scandalous character brought back to life by a shy, stuttering Professor Haddo.
The Professor in question is played by Simon Callow, and production just wrapped up on Tuesday of this week. The buzz behind the flick was so good the WB just picked it up for UK and Ireland distribution, with ‘first look’ rights to distribution in a gaggle of other territories. Hopefully they’ll pick it up for North American distribution, as most folks probably won’t know who the flock Aleister Cowley is, all they’d have to do is say “From Bruce Dickinson….” and people will show up. No joke.
No word on what release date they’re eyeing, or if the soundtrack features nothing but Iron Maiden tunes, but we’ll keep you posted on CHEMICAL WEDDING as we hear it.
