We Interview Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson & More for KONG: SKULL ISLAND!

Who knew that KONG: SKULL ISLAND would be as impressive as it is. It's official, Kong is still King! If you are looking for a blast of a monster flick, you should check out the latest in the growing monster universe – GODZILLA, KING KONG! Not only did filmmaker Jordan Vogt-Roberts give this new movie life, he also has an incredible cast including Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman, John C. Reilly, Toby Kebbell, Jason Mitchell and more. This new KONG is big on action yet it isn't just an overbloated blockbuster. This is a massively fun flick!

Recently we had the oppprtunity to step onto Skull Island, deep into the jungle, to talk about the new film. During our conversation, we spoke with one of my favorites, Mr. Tom Hiddleston. Not only is Tom one of the coolest on-screen Marvel villains, he is also one hell of an actor. He discussed stepping into the world of King Kong, and what it meant for him. This guy always makes everything better.

Next up we spoke to the lovely Brie Larson. With her massive success and an Academy Award win, she has proven to be one of the brightest talents working today. In fact, she has yet another hidden talent that even she didn't know about. In the film, she portrays a photographer, and apparently she is pretty great at that too. With this, and her joining the Marvel team as CAPTAIN MARVEL, she is going to be incredibly busy. And what's better? She is about as nice as can be.

And then there was John Goodman. As a fan of the actor, I was happy to discuss his early career on a little show called Roseanne. He talked about that and his surprisingly humble view on his impressive career. And after a strong year wtih a great performance in 10 CLOVERFIELD LANE, it's exciting to see the actor continue to kick ass. He did mention a couple upcoming projects, one of them happens to be a little movie I'm excited about called VALERIAN AND THE CITY OF A THOUSAND PLANETS.

Finally, as we prepared to leave the island, we sat down with Toby Kebbell and Jason Mitchell, as well as the film's director, Jordan Vogt-Roberts. Both Toby and Jason discussed heading to Skull Island. It's been terrific to see Kebbell out of the CG and/or make up and giving terrific performances in this, as well as A MONSTER CALLS. Yet he did step in for Kong just a bit and he opened up on how much. And finally, Jordan confirmed some guesses I had during the film as to a few of his visual inspirations. More importantly, this filmmaker sure knows his stuff when it comes to movie history, and thankfully he has given us something that feels a bit like a classic blockbuster.

KONG: SKULL ISLAND is a big screen adventure worth taking. The King arrives in theatres this weekend at a theatre near you.
