Stella cast members’ feature films are usually a pretty good time. Michael Showalter’s THE BAXTER, which he wrote and directed, is a sorely under-appreciated little comedy gem and Michael Ian Black’s THE PLEASURE OF YOUR COMPANY aka WEDDING DAZE, which he wrote and directed, starring Jason Biggs and Isla Fisher as two strangers who decide to marry on a whim, when it was first announced seemed like it was destined for criminally under-appreciated obscurity, but the trailer that was recently released, which you can see below, makes it seem as if it’s destined for deserved obscurity. As adorable as Fisher is, most of it just kinda meanders between recycled jokes, barely amusing jokes, unfunny jokes and just plain weird jokes. But check it out and decide for yourself. It opens August 17th.
