Weisz is Lovely

The Hollywood Reporter announced this morning that mega-hottie Rachel Weisz has signed up to star in Peter Jackson’s adaptation of THE LOVELY BONES for Dreamworks and Paramount Pictures! As this is one book that I’ve actually read, I’m damn excited to check this out- but when you add the likes of Jackson and Weisz being on board- holy crow! The project just go that much cooler!

Weisz will be playing the mother a dead girl who watches her family from the afterlife in hopes that her killer will one day stopped. Written by Alice Sebold, the book was damn good, and with Jackson on board, reverting back to his HEAVENLY CREATURES days… well, I expect great things from this piece.

Budgeted at around $80M (which seems crazy high to me), filming is set to begin this October in Pennsylvania and New Zealand. No other casting news has been announced yet, but keep it here, as we’ll be the first to let you know!
