Okay, how about this pitch for a new hero in a horror film: a nun. Is it a comedy? No. Then what is it? Well, I’ll tell ya.
I apologize for that bit of schizo writing above. I just couldn’t think of any other way to begin this article about a recently completed 15-minute flick called MONSTROUS NATURE. It’s coming to us from writer/director Jason Cuadrado (TALES FROM THE DEAD) and yes, the plot goes like this:
It’s about a nun who gets kidnapped and wakes up in the deep woods handcuffed to a disturbed man. He makes his plans for her known by the light of the full moon, which tests her faith as well as her nerve.
Well, I will say that it certainly IS an original werewolf tale. In fact, I think it could wind up being pretty damn interesting. Cuadrado also had this to add: “It really goes for the jugular with an intense story filled with blood and gore—and it was a pleasure to do!”
Okay, Mr. Cuadrado, you’ve got me. I definitely want to check this one out. MONSTROUS NATURE is currently going through a fine cutting process and should be complete by the end of this month. From there Cuadrado is looking to hit the festival circuit with it. A website and trailer will also be coming soon.
The flick stars Camillia Sanes and Gary Perez. You can check out one pic above and one below.
