Wes Craven’s My Soul to Take being converted to 3D? Oh joy.

Wes Craven is currently busy with a little flick called SCREAM 4. We knew that. But what some of us might be forgetting is that Craven has another film coming at us soon: MY SOUL TO TAKE. You guys remember that little diddy?

The last we heard on the project, it had scored a release date of October 29th. That offers MY SOUL TO TAKE right in time for Halloween, but also puts it head to head against SAW 3D and PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2. But I’m not here to talk about the film’s release date, no, no, we already did that. Instead I’m here to talk to you all about another MY SOUL TO TAKE update. You ready for this?

Apparently Craven’s latest will be the next film in line to undergo the infamous 3D conversion! That’s right folks, MY SOUL TO TAKE is being converted to 3D! Cue the blaring trumpets! Alright, heavy sarcasm aside, is this really needed? MY SOUL TO TAKE seems like a text-book slasher flick that hasn’t even had much fanfare and is sure to be overshadowed by SCREAM 4. So is it really worth converting to 3D? I guess so. Hell it seems everything is being converted to 3D… I suppose there’s some comfort in knowing you can always go see these flicks in 2D though, right?

A serial killer returns to his hometown to stalk seven children who share the same birthday as the date he was allegedly put to rest.

The film stars Max Thieriot, John Magaro, Paulina Olszynski, Zena Grey (below), Nick Lashaway, and Emily Meade. So what do you guys think? Does MY SOUL TO TAKE being converted to 3D sway your interest in the flick at all? Hit us with your thoughts below and keep it here for more on MY SOUL TO TAKE as we await it’s October 29th release date.
