Wesley Snipes to play Dracula in Blade reboot?

Marvel's upcoming BLADE reboot starring Mahershala Ali is still searching for a screenwriter and a director. But today we're hearing a killer rumor that the new movie has found its villain with original BLADE actor Wesley Snipes being brought back for the reboot as… get this … Dracula.

This rumor comes from the fact that the powers that be behind the scenes what to bring back Snipes AND they want to go "old school" with their plot, adapting the series that introduced Blade back in the 1970s, "Tomb of Dracula."

I don't know what to believe here as this seems like the best f*cking idea I've heard since FREDDY VS JASON. Okay, maybe not that cool. But we're talking, like, a tad smidgen off from that level of coolness. God, I don't know about you but I'm over here praying this happens. Come on, Marvel, if this isn't your plan already, get to it as soon as inhumanly possible! How excited would YOU be to see Wesley Snipes star as Dracula in Marvel's BLADE reboot? Let us know below!

Meanwhile, the original BLADE followed this synopsis:

Half-mortal, half-immortal is out to avenge his mother's death and rid the world of vampires. The modern-day technologically advanced vampires he is going after are in search of his special blood type needed to summon an evil god who plays a key role in their plan to execute the human race.

The original 1997 adaptation was directed by Stephen Norrington (THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN) from a screenplay written by David S. Goyer based on the character created by Marv Wolfman and Gene Colan. Peter Frankfurt, Wesley Snipes, Robert Engelman, Andrew J. Horne, and Avi Arad produced. It starred Snipes, Stephen Dorff, Kris Kristofferson, N'Bushe Wright, and Donal Logue. Buy it on Blu-ray HERE.
