I was a little pissed off when I first heard about REYKJAVIK WHALE WATCHING MASSACRE, because I was planning a movie with the same exact title. Now that dream is dead, thanks Iceland! This is just like the time I came up with a project called ROMY AND MICHELE’S HIGH SCHOOL REUNION and then some asshole went ahead and made that movie. No more elaborately bizarre titles for me…
Well, hopefully the REYKJAVIK WHALE WATCHING MASSACRE that is getting made will live up to the wonders that are hinted at. The kooks over at Twitch Film got an early peek at some footage and report that it looks “very impressive”. They also got their hands on a still from the flick, which you can check out below.

An epic tale about a group of whale watchers, whose ship breaks down and they get picked up by a whale fisher vessel. The Fishbillies on the vessel have just gone bust, and everything goes out of control. It’s a cross between the original TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE and BLAIR WITCH PROJECT, combined with the dark and bloody humor of EVIL DEAD.
Yeah, that’s right. Fishbillies… Gunnar Hanson plays the lead fishbilly… I tell you, it’s like they stole ideas straight outta my brain!
