What did you think of…Wonder Woman?

It's been a long road getting WONDER WOMAN to the big screen. Starting from her initial introduction in 1941, the character has undergone a number of filmed (and animated) appearances, including the popular 1970's TV show starring Lynda Carter, a 2009 feature-length animated film and two failed attempts at a reintroduction with George Miller's canceled JUSTICE LEAGUE MORTAL film (with Megan Gale in the role) and an unaired 2011 pilot starring Adrianne Palicki. Diana finally got her big-screen debut in last year's controversial BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE, starring Israeli-born actress Gal Gadot, who was signed to take on the first-ever solo film for the character under the helm of MONSTER director Patty Jenkins, who brought along castmembers Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Danny Huston, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, David Thewlis, Saïd Taghmaoui, Ewen Bremner and Lucy Davis to the show.

The reviews have been exceptionally positive, with the film currently sitting at a certified 93% on Rotten Tomatoes. JimmyO was the first of our staff to see the film and he gave it 9/10, saying, "It’s a bold and thrilling adventure that manages to excite, even when the action is not in the forefront." The film was an amazing experience for me, prompting my first 10/10 score, saying the film "…is a monumental achievement not only for the DCEU, but for the genre as a whole." Both of our other critics, Chris Bumbray and Eric Walkuski, enjoyed the film as well and you can check out their hot takes below.
