What the hell is in this house? Lili Taylor investigates in the trailer for James Wan’s The Conjuring

You guys in the mood for something a little spooky this afternoon?

The trailer for James Wan‘s THE CONJURING has dropped and the moral of the story is, don’t play the clapping game if you move into an old creepy house because there are probably some creepy ghost kids haunting it.

Okay, so I don’t know if that’s the truth, but I do know that I’ve come to take a liking to the horror of James Wan. I think this guy is one of the best in the genre right now. I personally think it’s still a genre that is lacking substance and is not getting enough good creative minds. Can Wan right all the wrongs? I can’t say, but I do hope that there’s a great resurgence for the genre. It’s one that is near and dear to my heart.

What should you expect from THE CONJURING? The trailer doesn’t give us much, but that’s what is so great about it. Know that this isn’t the full story, though I kinda get the feeling that Lili Taylor won’t have a ton of screentime.

Check out the trailer below.

Synopsis: Before there was Amityville, there was Harrisville. Based on a true story, “The Conjuring” tells the horrifying tale of how world-renowned paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren were called upon to help a family terrorized by a dark presence in a secluded farmhouse. Forced to confront a powerful demonic entity, the Warrens find themselves caught in the most terrifying case of their lives.

THE CONJURING starring Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Ron Livingston and Lili Taylor is due to scare fans on July 19, 2013.
