Do you guys remember the last update we got on Jimmy Hayward’s JONAH HEX? That shite was all the way back in February! My how time flys when you’re having fun.
Now we know the flick has been battling some reshoots and delay talk, but what’s the deal? JONAH HEX hits theaters in just a couple months and we have no idea what’s going on with the flick! Is it delayed? When are we going to see the trailer? We need answers people! And that’s exactly what we’re getting today via an interview NY Mag’s Vulture had with Brent Hinds, of the band Mastodon. You see Hinds and company have been busy recording and rerecording the soundtrack for HEX. So what did the musician have to say?
“What I’ve seen so far doesn’t seem to be finished to me. I’d heard a little rumor: ‘This shit ain’t gonna be ready.’ But then again, Warner Bros. is such a fucking bastard. They’re like, ‘The shit comes out on the day it’s supposed to.’ But what do I know? I’m just the dude to whom they’re like, ‘Hey, play some crazy fuckin’ music!'”
Well that’s a creative way of putting it. Oh those rock guys, they’re so crazy. Are things really looking that bad? Not according to director Jimmy Hayward, who texted Vulture the following:
“Trailer and film are looking great!”

It seems a Warner Bros. spokesman has confirmed that the first trailer for HEX will be rolling in front of A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET, so there’s that. Looks like we’ll be seeing that shite sometime next week folks! I suppose we can all make our judgements on whether this thing is running smoothly or not when we see the much anticipated trailer!
In other HEX news, a brand new shot of Josh Brolin as ‘Jonah Hex’ has popped up courtesy of Entertainment Weekly. The guys over at Bloody-Disgusting were kind enough to share the shot so check out the tease below then click through for the whole picture.

JONAH HEX stars Josh Brolin as the titular character along with Megan Fox (below), Michael Fassbender, John Malkovich, Will Arnett and Michael Shannon. As of right now, HEX is still looking at a June 18th release!
