Whedon TV/Film news

Devoted Joss Whedon followers eagerly awaiting their TV Messiah’s return to the small screen can rejoice today as Whedon has signed on to write a pilot for Fox titled “Dollhouse”. Sparking from an idea Whedon had while having lunch with Whedon-verse alum Eliza Dushku, the story centers on a bio-tech company housing “empty” humans, in the titular building, which they can imprint with whole personalities, complete with memories, skills and specific character traits, to carry out undoubtedly nefarious tasks. Dushku will be portraying the lead character of Echo, who’s slowly becoming self-aware, not only that she’s a human capable of creating her own personality but that she’s one deliciously hot piece of ass.

This seems to have come at quite the opportune time for Whedon, not only because the Strike of Hellfire & Death could fall any second now, but because, as he recently mentioned to “Hollywood Insider”, the latest draft of his upcoming horror thriller GONERS, “was not incredibly well-received,” further elaborating, “Nothing’s happening with it right now. It’s not good news, but one door closes, and then there’s a draft, and another one opens.”
