A few weeks back we told you about EVIL BONG, a movie about a… well, it’s about an evil bong. Who knew bongs were so evil- all the bong I’ve ever met have only been good to me.
Anyway, today we got a heads up from writer/director Brandon Scott Lasner over at
Shadow Puppet Productions about his new short- MY FRIENDS, THC & ME! It’s the ancient tale of smokin’ a bunch of reefer and having a bad trip. We’ve all been there, right? If you check out the film’s

The flick reminded me of a little movie called REEFER MADNESS, made back in the 30s, it was supposed to show how taking the pot made you crazy and drove you mad. Anti-marijuana propoganda, if you will. Watching it today, it’s actually quite funny- I’d love it if some hooligans off the street stuck a joint in my face and tried to get me high! MY FRIENDS, THC & ME! is along those lines, but with a horror twist.
The flick shows the horrors that can go on inside one’s head when trippin’ out, and for an indie, I’d say it does a pretty good job of atmosphere, and the music rocks. Plus, they’re drinkin’ Miller High Life- the Champagne of Beers baby!
But why listen to what I have to say about the flick and
check it our for yourself right now, and let us know what you thought of it! Me, I liked the mood it set, and the music was cool- but as I think of Mary Jane as a good friend of mine, I couldn’t relate to all the bad stuff. As filmmaking goes, I think Lasner has some serious talent and will no doubt go far.
