When will The Devil Wears Prada 2 come to streaming?

Be prepared to strike a pose. The Devil Wears Prada 2 will be available for streaming next month. Our Chris Bumbray had an unexpected good time when seeing the movie as he says in his review, “Overall, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed The Devil Wears Prada 2, as I actually wasn’t much of a fan of the first film. It delivers fans what they want, but it also has some brains behind it, with knowing nods at how high-end fashion—once attainable—is now little more than a status symbol for the elites. The film still celebrates the escapism and excess of such a life, but also acknowledges how fleeting it all is, even for those who seem to have ‘made it’ in an industry that’s on its last legs.”

The Devil is streaming

20th Century Studios has just announced that The Devil Wears Prada 2 is set to stream exclusively on Disney+ and Hulu on July 29. The film also arrives on digital June 30, including Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home, and on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray on July 28. The official press release reads,

Celebrate the box office smash, which took the worlds of fashion and media by storm when it opened in theaters this past May, on its way to grossing more than $676 million worldwide. “The Devil Wears Prada” franchise recently crossed the $1 billion mark. From Dior, Versace, Armani, Givenchy, and Cartier to Dolce, Tiffany, and Fendi, the film features avant-garde fashions and is packed with celebrity cameos and luminaries from the worlds of fashion and music. 

The sequel to the 2006 phenomenon that defined a generation stars Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci, and is directed by David Frankel, written by Aline Brosh McKenna, produced by Wendy Finerman, and executive produced by Michael Bederman, Karen Rosenfelt, and Aline Brosh McKenna.

Fans can get front-row access to the ultimate fashion show with a dazzling array of exclusive digital and Blu-ray bonus content, including fashion and music featurettes, audio commentary with the filmmakers, and a hysterical gag reel, featuring bloopers and outtakes.
