It’s safe to say White Chicks isn’t a critically beloved comedy, but the film certainly has its fans, and Marlon Wayans is eager to develop a sequel for them. While speaking on the Rap Attack Official podcast, Wayons said White Chicks 2 is coming, provided Scary Movie 6 does well.

“[Fans always ask] ‘When are you doing the sequel?’ They love that movie,” he said. “And so, if Scary Movie 6 does well like we think it does, then we’ll be back real hard next with White Chicks 2.“
Speaking of Scary Movie 6, Wayans said the first trailer for the spoof sequel will debut before Scream 7 on February 27, which just feels perfect.
The original White Chicks starred Marlon and Shawn Wayans as two FBI agent brothers who go undercover as white women to protect two hotel heiresses from a kidnapping plot targeting socialites. It’s just as ridiculous as it sounds, but despite being trashed by critics, it was a box office success, grossing over $113 million worldwide.
The World Needs More White Chicks
In a 2022 interview, Marlon Wayans said movies like White Chicks “are needed” more than ever amid the climate of political correctness. “I don’t know what planet we’re on, where you think people don’t need laughter, and that people need to be censored and canceled,” Wayans said. “If a joke is gonna get me canceled, thank you for doing me that favor. It’s sad that society is in this place where we can’t laugh anymore. I ain’t listening to this damn generation.“
A R-Rated White Chicks Remake?
Marlon Wayans isn’t the only one who wants to bring White Chicks back, as Everything Everywhere All at Once co-director Daniel Scheinert once said it was one of his dreams to remake White Chicks as a hard-R, Oscar-worthy drama starring the original cast. “It would be about gender and race relations in the 21st century, starring the Wayans Brothers,” he said. “I don’t know if you have seen White Chicks lately, but it has a lot of meat to it and explores everything, like class, gender, race, the handicapped, age.“
