So the new Kate Beckinsale/Dominic Sena (SEASON OF THE WITCH) picture WHITEOUT is being revealed to be, aside from a few conventions here and there, hardly a horror film. And even at that, the flick is catching some pretty tepid reviews.
What’s not lukewarm however, is the slew of fine thaaangs who recently showed up to the L.A. premiere of the film.
Written and directed by the brothers Hoeber (John and Elrich, MONTANA, THE PACT), WHITEOUT is about a U.S. Marshall (Beckinsale) on the trail of a murderer in the darkened days of an Antarctica winter. She butts heads with U.N. officer also assigned to the case, but it ultimately becomes a cat-and-mouse affair between her and the first homicidal killer on the continent.
Despite sounding a tad too familiar to Chris Nolan’s IMSOMNIA, WHITEOUT blankets theaters tomorrow (the 11th).
