STYD got wind that WHITEOUT, the cat and mouse serial killer flick starring Kate Beckinsale, will be aiming for a September 19, 2008 release date.
So far, the flick sounds like a fun ride, especially considering it’s set in Alaska in the summer where it never gets dark (versus other movies, like 30 DAYS OF NIGHT, where Alaska is the setting when it never gets light), and did I mention Kate Beckinsale!
That said, releasing it in September has me a bit worried, mostly because the month after the summer movie season is over, and the month before the fall movie season really begins, September is somewhat of a ‘dump month,’ much like January is (or used to be). But I’ll try and be optimistic about it all, at least until the trailer comes out and we get a little better assessment on how it’s going to turn out.
Keep it here if that release date changes, otherwise get ready for Beckinsale kicking ass in the snow September 19th.
