Sam Worthington better enjoy it while he can. Being able to walk down the street without paparazzi shouting his name, fans asking for autographs and women ripping at his clothes. Because you might not recognize Sam Worthington now, but you will in about a year or so. After finishing production on two major blockbusters – Jim Cameron’s AVATAR and McG’s TERMINATOR SALVATION – Worthington has signed on to another big budget project, the Warner Bros. epic CLASH OF THE TITANS. Worthington will star as Perseus who, along with Zeus, battles Medusa to save Princess Andromeda (Harry Hamlin played Perseus in the 1981 original). Louis Leterrier (THE INCREDIBLE HULK) will direct from a script by Lawrence Kasdan (RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK, THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK). As you might expect from a story about a man who battles a Kraken and a snake-haired movie, a good deal of the film will be shot using a style similar to what Zack Snyder used on 300. Filming on TITANS is expected to begin late 2008/early 2009.
