Yesterday I passed along the announcement that Rob Zombie will commence production on his next film, THE LORDS OF SALEM in the spring. While we knew that the film dealt with a coven of witches being unleashed in modern day Salem, Mass., I did not until today read about the means of their arrival. Screen Daily got that particular scoop:
The story follows a DJ in Salem who unleashes a horde of demonic minions after she plays a cursed record.
Allow me a moment to LOL; I don’t think the “cursed record” gag has been used since the 80s. Leave it to Rob Zombie to resurrect the cheesy gimmick. (That said, if the resulting carnage is entertaining, who really cares?)
