A trailer has arrived online for photographer/music video director Margaret Malandruccolo’s feature directorial debut, the horror film COVEN. As you would expect from the title, the story centers on a group of witches, but something you might not expect that’s revealed in the trailer (and the image above) is that these witches seem to prefer to wear as little clothing as possible while conducting their rituals.

Scripted by Lizze Gordon, who also stars in the film, COVEN has the following synopsis:

Five undergrad witches come together in order to perform a ritual to invoke the ancient powers of the witch Ashura. The leader of the coven gets carried away and accidentally kills one of the witches during the ritual. She needs the strength of a complete coven to invoke Ashura’s powers and sends them out to find a final witch. As she absorbs power the surviving girls plot to take her down but the possessed witch unleashes hell on campus with only one young witch left to stop her.

Gordon is joined in the cast by Margot Major, Adam Horner, and Sofya Skya.

COVEN was produced by Zeus Zamani, Justin Jones, Sara Stretton, and Adam Horner.

There doesn’t seem to be any release date information available for COVEN, but the trailer, which can be seen below, promises the film is “Coming Soon”. So start sporting your best gothic high heels and get ready, people.
