Wolf Creek’s Greg McLean executive producing Crawlspace, now filming

Before director Greg McLean (above, WOLF CREEK, ROGUE) helms the recently announced supernatural flick 6 MIRANDA DRIVE, he is executive producing CRAWLSPACE. Moviehole reports that the principal photography has commenced on the project. Here is its plot:

The film follows a squad of elite soldiers sent to infiltrate and extract the lead science team from Pine Gap, Australia’s top secret underground military compound, after it comes under attack from unknown forces. The mission is compromised when they encounter a young woman with no memory of who she is or how she came to be there. As they try to escape, the group quickly discovers all is not as it seems and the facility has become a testing ground for something far more sinister.

The movie is written and directed by Justin Dix, who previously served as a droid unit technician on STAR WARS: EPISODE II and STAR WARS: EPISODE III and also provided special makeup effects on the Australian features STORM WARNING, THE LOVED ONES and RED HILL.

McLean had this to say: “Crawlspace is a very exciting and ambitious project that I am thrilled to be involved in. Justin Dix is a promising new filmmaker, and, true to the science fiction/thriller genre, he has created a nail biting script with plenty of scope for the actors and special effects team.”

Ditch Davey and Amber Clayton (below) headline the ensemble cast. The sci-fi action thriller will be filming at Docklands studios in Melbourne, Australia throughout April and May. What do you think?
