Woody Harrelson to join Matt Damon in George Clooney’s Suburbicon

George Clooney's upcoming SUBURBICON is certainly turning into quite the star-studded affair as The Wrap has learned that Woody Harrelson is the latest actor to join Clooney's new directorial project. Clooney signed on to direct SUBURBICON late last year and since then the film has been gathering up talent like Matt Damon, Julianne Moore, Oscar Isaac and Josh Brolin.

Scripted by Joel and Ethan Coen, SUBURBICON is said to be "set in the quiet family town of Suburbicon, where the best and worst of humanity is hilariously reflected through the deeds of seemingly ordinary people. When a home invasion turns deadly, a picture-perfect family turns to blackmail, revenge and betrayal." The film has also been compared to the Coens' breakout film BLOOD SIMPLE. There's no official date on when production on SUBURBICON might begin, but it was previously reported that shooting would get underway this October. The last film Clooney directed was THE MONUMENTS MEN, which was unfortunately met with mixed reviews so perhaps the magic touch of the Coen Brothers will give SUBURBICON a welcome boost.

Woody Harrelson will next be seen in NOW YOU SEE ME 2 on June 10, 2016.
