Wrath of Man trailer: Jason Statham, Guy Ritchie reunite for carnage

If you're a bad guy, you might want to call in sick for that job you've got scheduled for May 7, 2021. Why? It's quite simple, really. That's the day that Guy Ritchie's Wrath of Man is scheduled for release, and this movie looks to be taking no prisoners.

Directed and written by Guy Ritchie, Wrath of Man finds the fan-favorite filmmaker reteaming with Jason Statham for an action-thriller fueled by revenge. Based upon the film “Le Convoyeur” written by Nicolas Boukhrief and Éric Besnard, Wrath of Man revolves around a mysterious and wild-eyed new cash truck security guard (Jason Statham) who surprises his coworkers during a heist in which he unexpectedly unleashes precision skills. The crew is left wondering who he is and where he came from. Soon, the marksman’s ultimate motive becomes clear as he takes dramatic and irrevocable steps to settle a score.

What's his reason for killing, you ask? Would you believe that some moron was dumb enough to kill Statham's character's son? Any criminal worth their salt knows that you don't cross a badass like Jason Statham. I guess they skipped that meeting or didn't get the memo. Well, good luck to you, dumbass.

Produced by Ritchie, Ivan Atkinson, and Bill Block, and with a screenplay written by Ritchie, Atkinson, and Marn Davies, Wrath of Man also stars Holt McCallany (Mindhunter, Fight Club), Jeffrey Donovan (Burn Notice, Sicario: Day of the Soldado), Josh Hartnett (Lucky Number Slevin, The Faculty), Scott Eastwood (Pacific Rim: Uprising, Suicide Squad), and Niamh Algar (Raised by Wolves, The Bisexual), among others.

If Guy Ritchie's signature take on action cinema is your bag, you're definitely going to want to check out Wrath of Man when it opens on May 7, 2021.
