Where am I going with this? Oh yeah. Word on the street just hit that the indie horror flick WRECKAGE just scored some extra dough from producers Jordan Yale Levine and Franco Sama through their Fylmar Productions to be able to complete the final film. Apparently the filmmakers ran out of cash with only a third of the movie left to complete. Now it looks like the film will finally see the light of day.
WRECKAGE is about a Gulf War veteran and his three friends who get stranded in a deserted auto wreckage yard and soon find themselves hunted by someone who they think may be an escaped killer. I dig movies about broken down cars and being stranded on the side of the road. Those situations suck, but throw in a serial killer, and it puts the icing on the SUCK cake.
The film’s directed by John Mallory Asher and stars Aaron Paul, Cameron Richardson, and Mike Erwin. You may recognize Richardson, as she isn’t entirely new to the genre. She just starred in CBS’s summer sleeper series HARPER’S ISLAND.
Now that WRECKAGE has the cash to complete filming, let’s hope they have enough to go through post-production and finalize this sucker! Stick around for more on WRECKAGE as we hear it!
