Wright does Cocaine

JoBloJoBlo

Gonzo journalist-screenwriter Evan Wright (‘Generation Kill’) has been brought on to write COCAINE COWBOYS. Mark Wahlberg and Peter Berg have at various times been touted as possible stars. The film is the story of Jon Roberts, an injured Vietnam vet by age 20 who ended up involved in gangland takeovers of New York City nightclubs in the early ’70s. By the end of the decade, Roberts landed in Miami, dealt billions of dollars worth of coke for the Medellin drug cartel and ultimately spent 10 years in prison.

It hasn’t been confirmed yet, but it is expected that Amy Winehouse will be brought on as an adviser to the project, since most industry insiders agree that even a dude with five noses and a magic pot of money would be humbled by the amount of product that chick has snorted.
