Xombie hits news stands

Great news for those fans of James
Farr’s web based comic about that not-quite-right zombie Dirge and his
adventures through the zombie infested world.

Devil’s Due publishing has signed an agreement with Xombie, Inc. to bring the
web based comic XOMBIE off the net and into print.
The story behind XOMBIE follows a a variant zombie (called
“Xombies”, capable of thinking and feeling) named Dirge; Dirge discovers a young
human girl named Zoe who suffers from amnesia, and, as his last good act before
becoming dust on the floor of this ruined, zombie-filled world, begins a
dangerous journey to return Zoe to the safety of her loved ones.  Along the
way, Dirge and friends must survive the assaults of zombies of all shapes
and sizes.

I’m ashamed to say that I’ve only recently heard of this flash comic, but I will
say that I’m already in love with it. It’s always cool to see a variation on my
favorite apocalyptic possibility, and a comic is the absolute perfect medium for
this type of story. If you want to check out Dirge and the whole XOMBIE series
online, click
