According to The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision blog the latest to join the horror/comedy is BLADE RUNNER alumn James Hong. Hong (right) will be playing ‘Grandpa Chen,’ which will be Ryan Reynold’s avatar in the film. The avatar is what humans will see when Reynolds is in his earthly form. So we’ve got Hong for Reynolds and Marissa Miller for Jeff Bridges…. I have a feeling this is going to be a lot funnier than we expect it to be.

Word has it production is slated to start soon in Boston on the Robert Schwentke flick with a June 2013 release date already pegged.
