Japanese manga BLOOD: THE LAST VAMPIRE is going into production with helmer Ronnie Yu shepherding it along. He will reteam with FEARLESS producer Bill Kong for the project.
The concept is described as the story of an undercover vampire hunter who discovers that two of her best friends are fiends. Fiends in this case being vampires. It’s also likely, though not made explicit in the manga, that the vampire hunter is in fact a BLADE-like bloodsucker herself.
Shooting locations are currently being scouted in Japan, Russia and the Philippines. We’ll give you more on the project as we get it.
