Zach Galifianakis gets stupid rich in latest trailer for Masterminds

It's been nearly a year since Jared Hess' MASTERMINDS was initially set to be released, but the project found itself being pushed back again and again thanks to Relativity's financial difficulties. As they've just released a brand new trailer for the Zach Galifianakis comedy, it seems that there's still signs of life at Relativity. Inspired by true events, MASTERMINDS finds Galifianakis stealing millions of dollars from the armored car company he works for with a group of inexperienced criminals, only to find himself double crossed and on the run. Cue hilarity as bullets fly betwixt your cheeks.

A synopsis for MASTERMINDS:

Inspired by true events that occurred in 1997, the story follows a disgruntled armored car driver (Galifianakis) who teams up with a pretty co-worker and a group of inexperienced criminals to steal nearly $20 million from a bank vault. The thieves leave a glaring trail of evidence in their wake as they go on excessive spending sprees and buy mansions, sports cars and boats. To make matters worse, the driver's accomplices double-cross him and leave him alone on the run in Mexico while they live the good life off the loot back in the States. Now the only thing tougher than pulling off the heist will be turning the tables on those who betrayed him.

MASTERMINDS is set for a September 30, 2016 release.
