Zack Snyder fans destroy Justice League disks in celebration of Snyder Cut

In the ultimate celebration and power of fan service, it was announced this week that the infamous Snyder Cut of JUSTICE LEAGUE would finally see the light of day on HBO Max in 2021. The news of the $20 million project certainly caused a stir and fans of Zack Snyder are showing their appreciation by destroying their "inferior" cut of the film.

The dream of the Snyder Cut becoming a reality obviously sent some fans into a frenzy and some of them took to a more destructive approach to show their love. Some fans are destroying their theatrical cut disks of the 2017 film and posting videos of the act. JUSTICE LEAGUE was meant to be a triumphant cap on the trilogy of Snyder DCEU films that began with MAN OF STEEL and continued with BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE. Unfortunately, personal circumstances resulted in Snyder walking away from finishing the project and director Joss Whedon was brought in to finish things up. The end result was met with a polarizing reaction from fans and critics with the almost immediate reaction being this wasn't the cut Snyder intended because Whedon did extensive reshoots the skewed Snyder's original vision. Now that fans are finally getting the Snyder Cut, some of them don't believe they even need their original cuts of the film as you can see in some of the Twitter videos below:

I guessing this was a cathartic experience for some of the Snyder fans out there, although those who just threw their copy in the trash likely fished it out once they tried to create their viral moment. Considering that fans pretty much talked this cut into existence is a big win for everyone that wanted it so I guess they can celebrate the release as they see fit. Judging from everything I've seen online recently, Snyder fans are certainly passionate.

What will YOU do with YOUR current copy of JUSTICE LEAGUE? The Snyder Cut of the film hits HBO Max in 2021.
