Beware, this may get confusing…
Last week we relayed a new poster for The Asylum’s chintzy undead invasion in ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE. Remember, that flick will air on SyFy a few days before Halloween, before hitting DVD shelves at the end of the year. Well, apparently there’s another film ready to hit DVD this Friday (Oct. 20) called ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE: RETRIBUTION, which, from what I can tell, has absolutely zero to do with The Asylum’s version.
You still with me? Alright, let’s get to ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE: RETRIBUTION then. This one’s directed by Ryan Thompson, and stars Johnny Gel, Fred Williamson, Alicia Clark, Jerry Lynch and Joseph Scott Anthony. Peep the synopsis:
At the end of civilization, zombies greatly outnumber humans and everyday is a fight to see tomorrow. Just when he is about to give up that fight, rugged wanderer John Knox winds up being saved by a ragtag group of survivors lead by a man named Moses. After initial suspicion, Knox proves his worth and slips into his new family in the wasteland, but one day a war party of maniacal raiders assaults the camp, killing or kidnapping everybody in sight. It’s up to Knox and the few who escaped the attack to gather what resources they can (including zombies!) and launch an all-or-nothing attack on the raiders’ home fortress.
